You want to improve your English? You never seem to find the time? But if you think about it, you do have the time. A  few minutes every day. Maybe an hour or two every month. Little by little. And suddenly you notice that you have improved your English. This page is to help you do this. Each month there is a different language point.
The pages are either in PDF or Web format for you to download and work through.

bulletJanuary - The Present Perfect
bulletJanuary's point is a time form that many find tricky - the Present Perfect.

bulletFebruary -  Prepositions of Time
bulletIn February, we have a look at Prepositions of Time.

bulletMarch -  Common Mistakes
bulletMarch's lesson is about common mistakes.

bullet April -  "By" versus "Until"
bulletApril's lesson deals with two words that are often confused: "by" and "until".

bulletMay -  Listening comprehension
bulletMay's lesson is a little lighter than usual! You listen to a song and fill in the gaps in the text. (So you will need sound and the Windows Media Player. If you don't have it, you will be automatically asked to download it.)

bullet June -  Mixing Exercise - Social Responses
bulletJune's lesson practises some simple, short, quick responses - very useful when you are socialising in English.

bullet July/August - Past Tenses
bullet

This month's lesson is for both July and August and is a little "heavier" than usual - to provide a counterbalance to the "easy" summer feeling! It focuses on the past tenses.

bullet September - The Present Tenses
bullet

This month's lesson deals with the two present tenses in English - the Present Simple and the Present Continuous. If you don't know the difference between them, this is a lesson for you!

bulletOctober - The Conditionals ("If-sentences")
bullet

This month's lesson teaches you to use the conditional forms correctly in English. After you have completed the lesson, you will know the difference between the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and general conditionals.

bullet November - Used to
bullet

"She used to play top class tennis" "He is not used to living alone" Do you understand the (different) meanings of "used" in these two sentences? If not, November's lesson should help you.

bullet December - Listening comprehension
bullet

This month's lesson should get you in the mood for Christmas. Bing Crosby sings a well-known song! Just listen to it, relax, take a sip of wine and fill in the gaps in the text. (You will need sound and the Windows Media Player. If you don't have it, you will be automatically asked to download it.)
